Maintenance Power Transformer in High Voltage Electrical Outdoor Substation

Transformer Condition Monitoring

Using our patented solution, you can create a detailed thermal map and true digital twin of your transformer. Our system allows hundreds or thousands of data points from deep inside your transformer, including complete coverage of the entire core and windings, as well as the oil at different locations in the tank. This provides early warning of any insulation degradation issues or hotspots, long before they lead to failure or compromised performance.

Underground Cable Monitoring

Undergrounding of cable means ‘no eyes’ on the cable – this can lead to issues with accurate or timely fault location, detection of hot spots, as well as capacity and dynamic load ratings.  Using our system, we can provide a complete thermal profile of the cable, with data from every 1m (~3ft).

Air Core Reactors

Instead of much more expensive oil-filled reactors, our technology enables the operator to utilize much lower cost air core reactors in shunt and series applications, especially on higher voltage classes, by providing continuous monitoring of the conductor/windings, with early warning of potential hot spots and other thermal issues.

Busbar Monitoring and Dynamic Rating

Corrosion and dirt deposits can lead to premature busbar failures – our system allows the operator to continuously monitor busbars, especially at terminations and joints providing more reliable operation over time.

HVDC Components

Given the intensive electrical fields, there hasn’t been a suitable solution to monitor HVDC components in the valve halls – our system is immune to EM effects, making it ideal for real time monitoring of large components, such as capacitor banks and thyristors used in HVDC applications.

Grid Level Storage

Thermal monitoring of lithium-ion battery banks is critical but currently is poorly implemented due to a lack of suitable monitoring technologies.  Our system is ideal for monitoring large modules, right down to individual cells or packs, creating a much more detailed thermal map of the battery storage unit, and providing advance notice of issues for much more effective battery management.
